In March 2012, I mounted a solo exhibition entitled Penance for the 2012 Okanagan Print Triennial at the Vernon Public Art Gallery in British Columbia Canada, as a result of winning the 2009 Triennial.
I have printed professionally for artists such as Ed Pien and Betty Goodwin at Stinger Editions in Montréal Canada, and Zachari Logan through Hangashima Press in Regina. I have taught printmaking, digital imaging, and contemporary art practice at Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) Concordia University, (Montréal, Québec) and the Haliburton School of Art and Design (Haliburton, Ontario). In 2018, I was Visiting Professor at the Kyoto University of Art & Design, and Kyoto Seika University in Kyoto, Japan.
I am currently Professor in the Department of Visual Arts, at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada.

I live in the city of Regina — the provincial capital of Saskatchewan — with my family. My partner Sarah Cummings-Truszkowski is an educator and visual artist, community organizer, and elected official with the Regina Public School Board. Originally from Manotick, Ontario, we found one another in Victoria Hall residence, at Queen's University, and have been together ever since. We have three offspring; Ella Gwendolyn (aged 19 years), Otis Arthur (aged 16 years), and Grace Kathleen (aged 13 years). Our pride and joy : ) is Winston Jean Valjean Fuffy Cummings-Truszkowski, our naughty 4 year Pug.
I care a great deal about making the world I live in a better place. I am truly lucky to the have position I have, at the university, and I try hard to live up to this responsibility in all aspects of my life. One of my greatest (and hardest!) personal successes — aside from raising kids who are much better than me — has been a more-than-four-year project to bring a Syrian family of 11 to Canada, from Lebanon, where they fled to avoid the war in their homeland. Souaad and her family have been in Canada for more than 1 1/2 years, now, and while life in a new country is hard, they are starting to thrive.
In my limited spare time, I work ceaselessly on my 112 year old home in Regina's Cathedral heritage neighbourhood, Chair the wildly successful Cathedral Village Arts Festival, study Japanese and French daily, as well as attempt to keep my 1977 MG Midget in good spirits for bouts of open-air motoring in the relatively brief Saskatchewan summer.
